adpaid.com - A Trusted Site | Paid Twice

Adpaid is a site that has been around for quite some time now. Registration May 2004. That is a long time for any PTC/GPT site. I have searched high and low about this site and wonder why I haven't heard about this site before. Their site is more simpler than most, and your earnings per click is low, but you can cash out at $3. When you cashout you are paid within 7 days.

Here are the pros and cons of adpaid

Pros:

1. Paying and on time! - As you can see from their forum and the internet they are paying their members and on time. Here is our payment proof:

http://ptc-investgations.blogspot.com/2009/08/adpaid-we-received-our-1st-payment.html

http://ptc-investgations.blogspot.com/2009/09/adpaid-received-our-second-payment.html

2. Well Established - copyright mark shows 5 years. Most know the shelf life of a PTC/GPT site is no more than a year if that.

3. They have a Forum - All PTC and GPT sites should have one in order for members to communicate and help one another.

4. Certified - This site is currently certified by BeenPaid

Cons

1. Some Countries not allowed - Some people are complaining that this site does not allow some members to join. The TOS states:

You must reside in one of the following countries: AUSTRALIA, AUSTRIA, BELGIUM, CANADA, DENMARK, FINLAND, FRANCE, GERMANY, GREAT BRITAIN, GREECE, ICELAND, IRELAND, ITALY, NETHERLANDS, NEW ZEALAND, NORWAY, PORTUGAL, SOUTH KOREA, SPAIN, SWEDEN, SWITZERLAND, UNITED KINGDOM, UNITED STATES

You must not reside in a country where you are prohibited by local governing laws from participating.

Like all sites, be sure to read the TOS before you join. While we don't think this is a major issue, since many sites have restrictions on which countries can join. If that is the case then those programs are not for made for you. Every site is different and you have to find the right program that fits for you.

Summary:

We tested this site out and were paid within hours. (terms says within 7 days). Although you might not make a lot of money, this site is a excellent way to earn some extra cash.

We received our first payment from adpaid. You can view our proof HERE

Ad Flasher (adflasher.net) - Is it a scam?

Review Last Updated: Sept 12, 2009

Current Whois: http://www.domaintools.com/adflasher.net
This is going to be a controversial site. Depending on who you are and what side you are on. Either a advertiser or a clicker. We are going to go ahead and review this site since so many are talking about this site. I am a little skeptical about this site and very curious how it is going to play out.

When I signed up on the site I received this in my inbox:

Thank you for creating an account with AdFlasher.net

A $0.75 credit has been applied to your account and has been used to purchase 5 Ad Views. Once you complete these Ad Views you will earn $1.50. Please note that if you do not purchase an Ad Pack or View Pack within 10 days from the date of this message, the $1.50 will automatically be debited from your account. Click on the "Consumers" link to launch the Ad Viewer.

You can earn an additional 5 FREE Ad Views just by inviting some of your friends to join. Simply click on the "FREE Ad Views" Link located in the Consumers area. Each friend invited will earn you 1 free Ad View.

Best,
AdFlasher.net

Interesting ...so I test the "Ad Viewer". And this is how it works:

You will see a "grid" of 54 advertisements. In this grid you will see some ads flash or light up. A few of these ads will have a countdown timer. You will see large numbers counting down. When you see a ad that counts down, you must click on it. Once you click on it, you must wait till the ad fully loads. Once the ad has loaded and you are done with the site, you click "close" on the top right corner of the ad. Then the timer will start again. When you have clicked on all the ads that have the timer countdown displayed you have successfully completed the grid and you will earn $0.30 for the completion. If you missed a timer (like I did) you will have to do it over.

A little hint, if your browser window isn't showing all the ads in your window you might have to adjust the size of the page so all 54 ads will show and you wont miss the timer. In order to do that just hold down the CTRL key + move the roller on your mouse. And this will adjust the page and make it smaller or bigger so you can see where and when the timer shows up. If you don't, you will miss the timer and you have to try again. Some of you might not have this problem, some might.

So I completed my 5 grids and I was awarded a total of $1.50 (5 X $0.30), which is currently showing "pending". Then I go to do more view packs and I get this message:

Unfortunately, due to the extremely high response our site has received, we have completely sold out of view packs. We now must focus on marketing the Ad Packs for advertisers. You can help by purchasing advertisements for your business or by referring advertisers. We will be creating and launching campaigns on search engines and other web properties.

We will begin offering View Packs again as quickly as possible.

So, what I am going to do is put this site on the pending list, like I do with all of my controversial and new sites. I will show you the pros and cons, like always...and let you decide whether or not this site is a legitimate site.

PROS:

1. Paying - They are paying and many say they were paid fast. Here are a few proofs that we found on the web:

http://www.sagainbiz.web.id/adflasher.html

http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=12443198&postcount=8

http://www.moneymakergroup.com/Adflasher-Adflashernet-t296577.html&view=findpost&p=5561744#entry5561744

2. All Can Join - As long as you are 18 years or older you can join.

3. A Advertiser's Paradise? - When you have popular sites, it creates great oppurtunities for advertisers. Depending on what they are advertising, of course. I am sure a site about baking cookies is not going to do well, but maybe a forex trading site might do better. There are some advertisers that say they have had some success with this site. Check our comment section for more info on this subject.

CONS:

1. No Forum - Forums can be a excellent asset to many sites since proof of payment can be posted freely by members. This site does not have one. They do have a testimonial section. But that is not a way to receive diverse feedback. All you will see is positive feedbacks.

You can find their twitter page here: http://twitter.com/AdFlashernet

2. Opposition & Claims of Theft? - Well there seems to be some outside advertisers out there who are calling this site a bunch of thieves and that if you are using this site you might be helping them from stealing money from the common web site owner who is already struggling.

There are claims that AdFlasher uses ads from yahoo and possibly google on their grids. Which I am not 100% sure how they could get away with that, since yahoo and google are very good about catching these violations. Especially Google. I am sure if that many hits were coming in there would be a huge red flag showing up at the other end at Google and Yahoo headquarters.

I would hope that this site is not stupid enough to put yahoo ads or google ads on a PTC site/incentive site. It is common knowledge for most that this against the terms of service at Google and Yahoo. So why would they knowingly risk putting up ads that could one day be taken away because of this violation? That would put their entire business at risk.

Maybe what is happening... a publisher who is signed up for yahoo publisher is using yahoo ads on his site and in return he is showing his site on Adflasher? Which is also a big no no, but many make that mistake. Bloggers will put their blog on a traffic exchange site and not realize their google ads showing on their blog is not to be used on a traffic exchange or PTC sites.

You can view these "fraud" claims here:

http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=12446700&postcount=13

3. New Site - This site was registered on Aug 3, 2009. Which means it has a ways to go before anyone can say it has withstand the test of time. The site already seems to have become very popular over a short period of time. Will it be able to stay on top? I guess we have to wait and see.

Summary:

They seem to be paying, but it is way too early to say if this is a site you can depend on for being there for tomorrow. If you plan on using this site, don't get carried away and spend more than what you can afford to lose.

If anyone would like to share their experience that they had with this site, whether it is good or bad, feel free to do so in our comment section at the end of this review.

Here are the updates coming from AdFlasher:

Adbux.org - SCAM

We are advising against anyone joining Adbux, mainly due to it's history and what is said about Adbux on the web.

If you google search "Adbux Scam" you will find what we are talking about.

This is not our only reason, after looking at the site and doing a little research ourselves we found some major flaws with Adbux.

No Forum - PTC sites that don't have forums, should be in question. Many scam ptc sites will not welcome a forum where members can gather and share their experience with a site. I did a search to see if there was a forum on Adbux, and there once was a forum on adbux. Here is what one member said:
It says on their blog there was to much negativity and fighting on the forum so they took it down.
Adbux has really gone downhill bigtime. I still have not received my payment yet that has been pending for over a month and they froze new payout until July plus there is only 1 to 2 ads a day on there now. I don't think they will be around much longer. Source

Also the blog that this user has described is no longer up and running.

Not Found
The requested URL /blog was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Whois Private - Another clue. Owners that set their name and location set to private are bound to take off with the money and run. If you don't have nothing to hide, then why hide?

Earn Points to View Ads - On adbux you earn points to view ads. I personally don't like this system. It is kind of decieving to users, and we are not visiting this site to earn points as if we are playing a game, we are there to make money. I know many sites use this system, or both. From Adbux:
Advertisers will pay you, as a consumer, to look at websites that interest you. We have three different ad types with a variety of different prices so, the points you earn will vary with each view. Your point earning potential increases if you use our Affiliate program. With every friend that you refer to AdBux, you can earn increase point value.

Again, we are not there to earn points. If points mean cash, then why not say this in the first place? I guess points sound better than cents. And how many points do you get for viewing each ad? 0.0033 =0.0033 cents. That does not sound too enticing, does it.

Bad reputation - According to some sites adbux is owned by one Chad French who had a scamming site called netbux.org. A site that left members scammed. And from what I am reading a lot like bux.to, if not it's twin.

From all what we have learned we can not suggest this site to anyone. We deem it as a scam and a high risk site. Be very cautious when dealing with this site and any new site that is made by this owner. Here are some links that will go into more detail.
